Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 24, 2026
Tap to Start LLC, doing business as Tap to Start Photo Booth (“Tap to Start,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you interact with our website, contact us, book our services, participate in one of our photo or video experiences, use a sharing station, access an event gallery, or otherwise interact with services operated by or on behalf of Tap to Start.
Our services include traditional and digital photo booths, 360° video experiences, studio photography, AI-powered photo and video experiences, print activations, roaming photography, online galleries, digital sharing, and other event-based experiences.
Some events are operated for a business, nonprofit organization, event organizer, venue, sponsor, agency, or other client. In those situations, additional event-specific terms or privacy notices may apply.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and the particular event or service.
Information You Provide to Us
You may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, event information, mailing address, communications with us, booking information, and other information you choose to provide.
When participating in an event experience, you may also provide an email address or mobile telephone number so that we can send you your photo, video, AI-generated content, gallery link, or other requested event content.
Information entered for digital delivery may also be used for event administration, analytics, lead collection, or other purposes that are disclosed at the time the information is collected.
Photos, Videos, Audio, and Event Content
Our services are specifically designed to create visual and digital content.
Depending on the experience, we may capture or process photographs, video recordings, audio, GIFs, boomerangs, AI-generated or AI-modified images or video, digital overlays, printed images, and other event-related content.
These captures may include your image, likeness, clothing, voice, or other information visible or audible in the content.
Your participation in an activation may also be subject to event-specific participation terms, releases, or disclaimers governing how photographs, videos, and other content may be used by Tap to Start, the event organizer, sponsors, or other identified parties.
Website and Device Information
When you use our website, online galleries, or other digital services, certain information may be collected automatically. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, date and time of access, and other technical or diagnostic information.
We may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, or similar technologies to operate our website, understand how it is used, improve performance, and protect against fraud or misuse.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the operation of some website features.
Booking and Payment Information
When you book services or make a payment, payment information may be processed by third-party booking, invoicing, or payment providers.
Tap to Start generally does not receive or retain complete payment card numbers. We may retain transaction information such as payment status, amount, invoice information, and transaction history for accounting and business purposes.
Information Provided by Clients or Event Partners
In some circumstances, an event organizer, sponsor, agency, venue, or other client may provide information to us in connection with an event.
We use that information only as necessary to provide the agreed-upon services, administer the event, communicate with participants or clients, meet contractual obligations, or for other purposes permitted by law.
How We Use Information
We may use personal information to operate and provide our services, create and deliver event content, send photos or videos requested by participants, operate galleries and sharing stations, process bookings and payments, communicate about events or services, provide customer support, customize event experiences, troubleshoot technical issues, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain security, improve our services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
We may also use information for marketing or promotional purposes where permitted by applicable law and consistent with any notice or consent provided at the time the information was collected.
Contact information provided solely for delivery of a photo or video will not automatically be treated as consent to receive unrelated marketing communications where separate consent is required by law.
Event Clients, Sponsors, and Partners
Many Tap to Start experiences are produced on behalf of another organization.
Depending on the event, Tap to Start may act as the organization responsible for determining how personal information is used, or we may process information on behalf of the event client.
An event client or sponsor may receive event content, engagement information, analytics, or participant information when that disclosure is part of the activation and has been disclosed through the event experience, participation terms, registration process, or other notice.
Once personal information has been provided to an independent event client, sponsor, or partner, that organization’s privacy practices may also apply.
We encourage participants to review any event-specific notices presented during an activation.
Online Galleries and Digital Sharing
Some events include an online gallery.
Photos or videos placed in an event gallery may be visible to other event attendees or to anyone who receives access to the gallery or gallery link.
Do not assume that an event gallery is private merely because it is not publicly indexed.
When you choose to send event content by email, SMS, QR code, AirDrop, or another delivery method, third-party communication providers may process the information necessary to complete that delivery.
Standard carrier message or data charges may apply to SMS delivery.
Artificial Intelligence Experiences
Some Tap to Start activations use artificial intelligence or automated image-processing technology to create stylized portraits, altered environments, animations, videos, or other creative content.
When you participate in an AI-enabled experience, your photograph or other capture may be transmitted to third-party technology providers for processing necessary to produce the requested result and operate the service.
AI-generated content may not perfectly reproduce your appearance and may introduce creative or artificial elements.
Tap to Start does not use AI-generated event content to make decisions regarding employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, eligibility, or other decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Third-party technology providers may process information according to their agreements with Tap to Start and their applicable privacy and security practices.
Facial Matching and Biometric Information
A photograph of a person is not necessarily biometric information merely because a face appears in the image. Certain technologies, however, may analyze physical or biological characteristics in a manner that qualifies as biometric processing under applicable law.
Some Tap to Start experiences may use facial matching, photo matching, or similar technology to help participants locate or receive photographs associated with them.
When we collect or process a biometric identifier or biometric data for identification or matching purposes, we will provide any notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before collecting the biometric identifier.
Biometric identifiers are used only for the disclosed purpose and are not sold.
We maintain reasonable safeguards designed to protect biometric information and maintain procedures for responding to security incidents involving such information.
Where Colorado law applies, biometric identifiers will be scheduled for deletion on or before the earliest of:
-
the date the original purpose for collecting the biometric identifier has been satisfied;
-
twenty-four months after the consumer last interacted with us; or
-
the time otherwise required by applicable law after we determine that continued storage is no longer necessary, adequate, or relevant to the disclosed purpose.
We may maintain additional internal procedures regarding the security, retention, and deletion of biometric information.
Children and Minors
Tap to Start provides experiences at family, school, sports, nonprofit, community, and other events where minors may be present.
Our website and services are not designed to solicit personal contact information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.
At events involving children, we may structure an experience so that contact information is provided by a parent, guardian, event organizer, or other authorized adult.
If we knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 in circumstances where parental consent is legally required, we will seek the required consent or delete the information.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us at info@taptostartphotobooth.com.
We do not knowingly sell the personal data of minors or knowingly use minors’ personal data for targeted advertising. Where additional protections for minors are required by applicable law, we will process that information only for disclosed and permitted purposes and obtain consent when required.
When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate our business and event experiences, including providers of photo booth software, online galleries, cloud storage, website hosting, communications, SMS or email delivery, AI processing, printing, analytics, booking, invoicing, payment processing, and information security.
We may also disclose information to an event client, agency, sponsor, or partner when that disclosure is part of the event experience and has been appropriately disclosed.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the safety or rights of Tap to Start or others, investigate fraud or misuse, enforce agreements, or respond to an emergency.
If Tap to Start is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money. Certain privacy laws define “sale” more broadly than a traditional monetary transaction. If any activity we conduct is considered a sale under applicable law, we will provide any notice and opt-out rights required by that law.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, our contractual obligations, legitimate business needs, legal requirements, dispute resolution, security, and recordkeeping.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and service.
Event photos, videos, and other content may remain available through galleries or internal archives after an event to support delivery, client obligations, participant re-downloads, authorized promotional uses, and business records.
A client agreement or event-specific policy may require a shorter or different retention period.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
Biometric information is subject to the additional retention and deletion provisions described above.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
No system for transmitting or storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and provide notifications when required by applicable law.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights regarding your personal information.
Colorado residents may have rights to confirm whether personal information is being processed, access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, obtain certain information in a portable format, and opt out of certain processing involving the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Other jurisdictions may provide similar or additional rights.
To submit a privacy request, email:
Please include “Privacy Request” in the subject line and provide enough information for us to reasonably identify the event, interaction, or information involved.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will not require you to create a new account solely to exercise a privacy right.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
If applicable law gives you the right to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request, you may submit an appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
Certain information may be exempt from a privacy request where retention or processing is permitted or required by law.
Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe instructions included in the message or by contacting us.
Transactional or operational communications relating to a booking, event, requested photo delivery, payment, security matter, or existing business relationship may continue when necessary.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website, galleries, messages, or event experiences may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
Tap to Start does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Their privacy policies and terms apply when you interact directly with their services.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
Material changes may also be communicated through our website or other appropriate means when required.
